How to Properly Care for and Maintain Miniature Guns: Tips and Durability
As many of you know, firearms require care and maintenance regardless of size. It is a truth that most of you know even better than I do.
Even the highest quality steel barrels are not immune to the corrosive effects. It not only diminishes the gun’s aesthetic appeal but, more critically, it can affect its functionality and safety. Miniature shooting guns require the maximum level of attention. Despite their smaller size and often less powerful ammunition, these guns are equally prone to the damaging effects of residue and moisture. In fact, due to their intricate and delicate mechanisms, the impact of neglect can be even more pronounced. Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial to ensure their longevity and safe operation.
Here are some simple basic rules for extending your miniatures’ life
1. Ensure the storage area is moisture-free to keep the miniatures safe
2. Clean the barrel after each shooting session with the included ramrod.
3. Clean barrel thoroughly when removing the gun for long-term storage
As you can see, these are straightforward recommendations that will take just a few minutes of your time. However, it will be allowed to remove the remains of explosive substances so that they do not oxidize inside the miniature gun and do not spoil it over time.
We try to make collecting our miniatures easy and stress-free. We provide high-quality products, clear instructions, various shipping options, and excellent customer service to ensure that owning our miniatures is a joyful experience.
Our steps for ensuring the longevity of your miniatures
We have worked hard to develop our anti-corrosion alloy with a high nickel content. After every shooting session, it lets you relax and not stress about cleaning your firearm to perfection. Our miniatures are built to last, using high-quality materials and craftsmanship to bring lasting joy and delight.
We apply lubrication to the mechanism of our miniature guns before shipping them to you. We use a universal lubricant produced in Ukraine for this purpose. We have been using it for several years in different productions as well as in our daily tasks. Therefore, we can rely on its quality.
We add silica gel to each box. It is a sorbent that removes excess moisture during shipping and storage. And we always include a dedicated ramrod for cleaning the barrel after every firing. Typically, all cleaning equipment needs to be bought separately when it comes to real firearms.
And for regular customers, we provide a free service for miniatures’ maintenance. Even if you have stored the miniature in conditions of high air humidity and over time, the surface of the miniature has developed a patina, we will bring it back to its original look by polishing it. We can also replace the springs of the mechanism, and your miniature gun will always work like a new one.
If you meditate while maintaining your gun collection, check out our tips
To remove small spots or traces of dirty fingers on white metal, use a 220-grit sanding block. Move it in the same direction as the miniature’s geometry. It will restore the minigun’s original neatness.
If you want to touch up the bluing on the black versions of the minigun on your own, I would suggest using a specialized tool designed for quick bluing. It will help you achieve a high-quality finish while saving time.
Apply the liquid only to specific points and avoid fully immersing to avoid damaging the spring mechanism. Note that the liquid can be aggressive and can cause malfunctions. I discussed it in the article about Glock.
In conclusion, I would like to say that regular maintenance of your miniature shooting gun is crucial, regardless of whether you’re an experienced gun enthusiast or a passionate collector. By dedicating time to care for your mini-firearm, you can guarantee it stays safe and dependable every time you use it. Consistent maintenance also plays a vital role in extending the lifespan of your firearm.
