The film follows the story of Josselin Beaumont (Jean-Paul Belmondo), a skilled operative working for the French Secret Service. Beaumont is assigned a covert mission to assassinate the president of Malagawi, a fictional African country. However, the political landscape changes abruptly, and the French government decides to abort the mission.

Beaumont’s superiors set him up as a fall guy to appease the African president. Unaware of these changes, Beaumont attempts to carry out his mission but is captured, tried, and sentenced to long-term hard labor by the Malagawian authorities.

Two years later, Beaumont manages to escape and returns to France with a singular goal in mind: to assassinate the president of Malagawi, who is now on an official visit to France, and to take revenge on the French Secret Service, especially Inspector Rosen (Robert Hossein), who was directly responsible for his betrayal.

Simultaneously, the French Secret Service is in a precarious position. They cannot afford to let Beaumont kill the African president as it would cause a diplomatic catastrophe. However, they also can’t legally apprehend Beaumont since technically he is not committing any crime on French soil.

In the meantime, Beaumont cunningly leads Rosen and his men on a wild goose chase across Paris. The chase scenes through the Parisian streets and underground subway system, combined with Ennio Morricone’s haunting score, contribute significantly to the film’s suspense and dramatic tension.

Throughout the movie, Beaumont demonstrates his professionalism, remaining stoic, calm, and focused on his mission despite the grave danger he constantly finds himself in.

The film culminates in a suspenseful and iconic showdown, reflecting the cold realities of the espionage world and the profound consequences of betrayal.

The film is known for its memorable music score, composed by Ennio Morricone, especially the track “Chi Mai”

The mini gun is made with great attention to details. So it really looks like a pistol from the film. The functionality of the model will also not leave you indifferent. It shoots with 2mm live ammo. The power of the shot is enough to pierce a cola can. It cocks, barrel is slidedandfixed in the extended position for loading, the fuse is removed, the trigger is pressed to fire.
