Cock the hammer.

Pull out the cylinder door latch.

Open the cylinder door.

Insert the cartridges into the cylinder (ensuring that the side with the gray compound faces you and the notched end points in the direction of the shot).

Set the cylinder door into its initial position and push the cylinder door latch back.

While rotating the cylinder, align the cartridge with the firing position.

Make a shot, then cock the hammer and align the next cartridge with the firing position.

When all the cartridges have been fired, follow steps 1-3.

Clear the cylinder of spent cases with the help of the ramrod.
