Olha:

Like any creative person, I have periods of uncertainty and devaluation of my work. It seems my contribution to this world’s improvement is so insignificant.

And then, I got a new regular client during one of my crises. Thank you, God, for teaching me such a lesson. He was a ten-year-old boy with cancer. His first delivery was directly to the hospital. I couldn’t hold back my tears when I was collecting this package.

I talked a lot with the boy’s father and even tried to dissuade him from buying it at first. I tried to replace my product with contacts of people who could help save the boy’s life. I did this without realizing that sometimes a person is saved by a reason for joy and a goal, even if that goal is to collect an excellent collection of miniature weapons.

When I came across a strong feeling of how passionately one could desire and what joy my miniature could evoke, I could no longer resist. The little things I do help get through the darkest times, instill faith in the future and make someone want to live.

The boy is doing well now. I know because his parents again asked me for a new pistol to add to their son’s collection!
I wrote about this episode of my life to my favorite clients. And ask if they also have an inspiring story about my miniatures, write to me. So I will reread them if I have a doubt.
And I received a lot of feedback and clients’ stories—some of them we published here.

William S. Safer:

That was an emotional story that you told about a little boy with cancer and your thinking that your work does not meet the standards of life.
Your work meets the finest standards of life. You are a professional, and all of your miniature creations are masterpieces. People get immense joy and revitalization of life when they see your miniature guns made with love from your heart.
We all have a special place in this world; no one’s job is more important than another. It is how we do our job and can positively affect others. Your creations bring a smile when you just see a photo of them. Just imagine when those little treasures arrive to someone in person! Happiness is good for the mind and body. It reduces depression and anxiety, and that does great things for your physical. Never forget your work causes happiness and delight to yourself and others. What better can happen than that?
I taught little children how to watch birds in nature and collect rocks and minerals. When my rock and mineral classes were over, I gave each student a bag with various rocks and minerals. As time passed, I wondered whether the students really appreciated my class or if they took it to do something.
A few years after the classes, I looked at an antique shop, and a woman approached me and said, ”You are the rock man. You taught my daughter about collecting rocks and minerals. When she got home after your class, she spent hours looking for rocks in our backyard and treasures the stones you gave her”. This made me happy, and I felt I made a difference in someone’s life.
For 30 years as a Police Sgt. I saw the worst in people and was shocked by what one person could do to another. I made it my goal to help people whenever I could and show kindness and understanding. Even after I had gotten shot, I still carried on with trying to make someone’s day better than it was.

Remember that your work makes someone happy and brings joy and happiness. That is no small accomplishment!

Jorge & Katya:

Interestingly, we both share a fine arts background. I studied at the Conservatory of Music in Mexico City and then at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I am a classically trained singer in Opera and bel canto.
I no longer sing. I now work in real estate and am a church deacon. Since I was a little boy, and before I entered school, I have always loved miniatures. I remember watching a cartoon about little people, and they would always show us at the end of the cartoon how to make something with our hands. I remember doing such things, and my father, who is now 80 years old, still has a miniature airplane and a miniature book that I did when I was about eight years old.
I remember miniature guns in gumball machines made of plastic, but they did not work. Later, I bought keychain guns that used Capps to make us a noise.
About 10 years ago, I looked online for real miniature guns and found some in Asia. The person I contacted told me that this was a gentlemen’s club and that I probably did not have enough money to purchase one, so I thanked him kindly. I have yet to look into it.
Years later, I found your website, and it brought me so much joy to know that I could save my money and purchase one from you.
I did so with a leap of faith, as I did not know if it would be real, as many scams were online. But I will never forget the day I received it in the mail from Ukraine. It was so special, and that was the first of my collection.
You are exceptional in this world and have brought so much joy to many. May our Lord continue giving you the talent and wisdom to spread joy worldwide.
We pray for your country constantly, and I pray that he keeps you safe, especially since I have a connection with you.

I have gifted my very first guns that I bought from you, but I have kept my most special guns for my own collection.
Please know that I am genuinely grateful to our Lord for you, your family, and your country.

When I buy a mini pistol, I don’t buy it on the W.Polah website; I buy it from Olga personally because I know that there are feelings, joys, and sorrows behind it. Thank you, Olga, for your models.

I also want you to know that this respectable gentleman gave his mini gun to the boy I was talking about. It just happened that little Oleksiy had his birthday on November 14, and we had time to congratulate him and present him with a mini TT pistol.

Thanks again to Antonio for his generosity and humanity. I have a discount on a double-barrel gun for him, which he asked for 🙂
